![]() ![]() Thanks for taking the time and reading feedback then. The game is winnable without any upgrades, but it is more aimed around people who have at least the first levels of those upgrades to give them a boost. Specifically alchemists, faeria wells and revealed treasures are all big upgrades with a total page cost of around 10 to get the first tiers. ![]() The upgrade curve in this game is quite front loaded with some big upgrades pushed back into the second or third run to give a smoother learning experience. Generally I don't think the balancing of the game is in a terrible place, but specifically yakkapult is a big outlier and does need to be toned down. Originally posted by HeliosAFlame:I should clarify here that I am a dev on the game despite no fancy color. The rate at which this boss and the catapult spawn new stuff (every other round to be precise) really makes me question if anyone playtested this game. This game (and the catapult just proves my point) has a big issue with devs not knowing when to stop spawing additional adds to make a fight artificially difficult. I had a pretty solid bleed build but whenever that lizard came back, it was magically cured of all debuffs which is totally absurd. This is not game balance, this is just lazy. When I tried this boss, I had my best deck so far and eliminated around 500hp before being wrecked by some unlucky draws and 3 x 30 damage to the face. Oh yeah, and this can happen multiple times (and it will). It spawns a dragon spirit that is extremely buffed and then spawns another monster (with 100HP! while having 200HP itself!!!) which it escapes in. Ok so this boss starts with a relatively easy fight which turns out to be possesed. If you haven't fought it yet and you're trying to avoid spoilers, please don't read further. How can someone create this thing and feel fine about it? Ok so the Yak catapult is bad and all but that boss in chapter 2 actually makes me mad (and also makes me dread trying another run). ![]() Is it this guy only until you beat the game once? Because in that case I'd ditch all efforts to play a build that relies on playing many cheap cards on my first run. Now I've managed to face a(?) final boss 2 times (the black tentacle thingy that makes your cards cost one more). I've managed to beat the dragon boss now because I didn't use bleed (PLEASE make it so it keeps the bleeding stacks! This boss alone shuts down bleeding builds). ![]()
